My students are driven by curiosity and always looking for a problem to solve. They come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences that make them each equally interested in extending learning beyond our classroom walls. They are compassionate, competitive and driven to do their best.
My kiddos are masters of seeing the possibilities around them.
Our school is old, our playground is old, our classroom furniture is old but they look beyond all of that in attempts to see the best in the opportunities that they have at school.
My kiddos are all full of energy and ready to learn! I have offered them the opportunity to be a part of a new club called Building Leaders. Building Leaders is a Lego building club where the students work in small groups to complete a Lego design challenge. This opportunity is based on STEM learning principals and will allow the students to extend their learning beyond the classroom.
Students will work within their small group to plan, design and build a Lego structure to fulfill a set of criteria.
During this process, team members will have the opportunity to extend their science and math thinking from their school day. This club extends well beyond ‘playing’ with Legos!
