My Students

My Kindergarten students are eager to learn especially through kinesthetic lessons. They are curious about the world and are quickly adapting to the expeditionary learning model for our school. The students love engaging activities that are relevant and meaningful. My goal is to foster their creativity and boost learning gains through a nurturing environment. Although we are part of a district, we are not granted access to some digital programs and manipulatives. We are excellent innovators and not afraid to think outside the box! They are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world.

My Project

My students thrive on activities that engage them visually and stir their imagination. These materials will enhance student learning by engaging them singularly with digital learning tools. In addition, hands-on tools that provide kinesthetic learning experiences. Students in Kindergarten need a triangular methodology to cement the skills and knowledge base necessary for success! Learning and having fun sets the tone for this foundational year. Students gain confidence when they work with manipulative materials that allow them to be creative. Digital tools presents information by activating background knowledge, providing new information and informal assessments of the new materials contributes to their overall success.
