Help me give my students more unique ways to learn their baseline material for reading and counting. Using blocks and games such as bingo help my students recreate the skills they are learning in class.
My students are impressionable, imaginative and inspired. We are a title one school. Our school contains very high percentages of children from low-income families. We are one hundred percent free and reduced lunch.
Our students are always evolving with the changes that are thrown at them on a daily basis.
These kids work hard and are wanting to shine and succeed beyond the daily tasks assigned to them.
Our kids go above and beyond what we require of them. They are kind, caring and loving individuals that will do whatever it takes to succeed!
My Project
In the state of Utah Pre-school is not mandated, many students come to Kindergarten having no exposure to letters and numbers. Using manipulatives such as blocks, puzzles and games will help the students learn the basic skills in a more effective manner.
Students learn better when activities are engaging and memorable.
Using these tools will help students be able to practice their skills individually when I am not able to give them individual attention. Kindergarten is the foundation to all other grades, These skills are a necessity to providing a strong base for reading and math throughout their career and life.
More than half of students from low‑income households
