Building Independence Through Inspiration & Organization!!!

My students need chair pockets to organize their books, etc because their desks do not have proper storage. Also, my students need a paper keeper to organize their work.

My Students

My students are currently facing the challenge of not having the sufficient supplies to become self-sufficient learners. My students desks are for high school students and can not accommodate 5th graders especially when it comes to storing all of their books and supplies.

My students are bright-eyed, caring, enthusiastic and hard working children.

They come to school to learn and want to improve themselves not only by getting an education but also by becoming more independent. My students attend a school that has not been updated in many years, possibly decades to suit their needs. My 5th graders have high school desks, practically no storage and their black boards are unreadable. Text books are outdated and supplies are lacking.

My Project

By donating the storage bags for each desk, this will allow students to organize their books, folders, pens & pencils and store them at their desks allowing them access to their supplies throughout the day. Currently my students place their text books on the floor and use a rubberband to hold their pencils together. The white board will allow students to clearly see the content being presented during class. The blackboards have not been cared for in over a decade and at this point are unreadable. Many students become frustrated during the day because of their inability to see the board & I believe this hinders their learning. Lastly, the paper keeper will allow students to organize all their assignments throughout the week and present them to the class on Friday's. Students will learn how to organize their work and become self-sufficient learners.

My project is so important because it would DRASTICALLY improve each students education by giving them the necessary materials they need to succeed.

Students, along with my guidance will learn how to organize their work and materials and will be better prepared each day.
