My Project
What better way to teach social skills than through read-alouds and modeling opportunities? This project will provide my students with opportunities to discuss individual differences, accepting others, and positive behaviors in general. It also includes materials to recognize students who are modeling those behaviors for others. I am excited to use "Respectful Rhino," "Helpful Hippo," and "Kind Koala" to recognize students who implement these qualities. I am hoping to start this project at the beginning of the school year so that my students will create a habit of reflecting on their own behaviors and recognize the positive behaviors of their peers.
