This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Since the pandemic, I have found many of my students prefer hands on activities and guided play to engage them and helps with processing information. I have a large collection mismatched of Lego pieces, knex bits and action figures. My students use them in the building center of my art room.
Even with mismatched pieces, my students still create buildings, characters and storylines that are imaginative and full of life.
The possibilities for my students to push their imaginations and creativity with complete Lego sets and design guide sheets is exciting to think about.
