My kindergarten classroom is a nurturing environment where young learners begin their educational journey. To foster both their emotional well-being and literacy skills, I seek resources that cater to their social-emotional needs while instilling the alphabetic principle. This is why I am requesting such items as the alphabet soup sorters, the Pigeon book series, and bins to keep these items organized.
Social-emotional skills are crucial for young learners, impacting their ability to focus, learn, and interact positively with peers.
Additionally, the alphabetic principle is a critical skill that involves connecting letters with their sounds to read and write. This project aims to address both needs, ensuring that our students thrive academically and emotionally.
The first goal is to children develop resilience, empathy, and a sense of belonging in the classroom. The second goal is to support students in recognizing letters and understanding their sounds, paving the way for future literacy skills. Together, we can lay the foundation for lifelong learning and emotional health.
