My Students

My students love hand-on activities. They are thoughtful, loving, caring, creative, and full of questions. They come to school everyday willing to learn. They are an inspiration to me.

Our school is located in a small community rural community.

Our school had to relocate because of a natural disaster. During that time we relocated to neighboring town in NC in a local Building for a temperaturally fix. We returned home in January 2020, after being relocated for approx. 3 years. Only being back home less than 3 months, we are out of the school building once again to COVID-19.

Our students hold dear to our creed - “We are Learning without Limits”. There is no stopping us now. We have been through the storm and we have been through the floods. Our students are surrounded by loving and caring adults that refuse to let them give up. Through it all, they are going to make it. They come, they work, whether it’s in a building or online learning because they know there is no other way. Keep pushing and keep striving because their Education is priceless. I am blessed to be a part of their lives and the school.

My Project

The use of VersaTiles will allow students to cover literacy foundations - phonics and fluency, language - conventions, language - vocabulary, literature - comprehension skills, science informational text - comprehension skills, and social studies informational text - comprehension skills. VersaTiles are alternatives to traditional skills practice, creates a safe learning environment that increases student confidence, and low-prep classroom solution. VersaTiles Literacy Classroom Kit is aligned to State and National Standards. VersaTiles helps encourage hands-on learning and discovery, drives deeper understanding for the individual learner and helps students unlock their full potential.
