When school starts back up, I want my children to walk into a loving and caring classroom. My children are energetic, hopeful and eager to learn first graders. My children come to school with a smile on their face even though they changed school locations due to tornado damaging their classroom.
My children come from a diverse backgrounds and home settings.
My children come to school with a smile on their face but unfortunately had to experience a drastic change when our school was damaged by a tornado. It was so encouraging to see their sweet faces eager to finish where we had left off and continue learning.
My Project
My children need math ten frames. My children need double dice and math manipulatives. It is important that they are exposed to a rich library to expand their vocabulary. These materials will be utilized to help with their multi-intelligences and ensure a good school year. Children need opportunities to explore and express themselves through learning. My children experienced a traumatic end to a school year. I would like my children to begin a new school year with hope. It is my job to find how each child learns. This variety of materials will help my children begin school on a positive note.
I will be able to use the ten frames to teach my children using hands-on activities to engage my children for longer amounts of time as we learn how to add single and double digit math facts.
It is very important to engage children to a rich vocabulary from literature sources and all these math and art books will provided many hours of lesson starts for lessons across the curriculum. All these items will allow me to touch each child in my classroom through writing, reading and mathematics.
