This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My mission is to provide a challenging curriculum where academic excellence, character development and individual growth are nurtured in a safe environment that involves the active participation of students, regardless of academic capability.

My students range from high academic achieving students to those that require extra assistance or have language barriers.

They are very enthusiastic about working together in centers as a way of learning new concepts and practicing old concepts.

My students encourage each other and support one another. My students come to school happy and very energized. They love to ask questions and have an inquisitive nature that feeds their quest for knowledge.

My Project

I would like to use the fluency kits for my students to improve their fluency and record their growth on a weekly basis. It is a great way for students to work together at their level to improve fluency.

These Items will enable me to extend reading lessons even further to deepen comprehension.

These supplies would give me the materials needed to build reading fluency and comprehension in my first grade classroom.

The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these kits will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading in the target language, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed words.
