Building Fine Motor Skills Through Sensory Play

Help me give my students the tools they need to work on their fine motor skills and get the sensory play their minds and bodies crave!

My Project

I teach an amazing group of kindergarten students who are full of curiosity and energy. Many of my students face challenges that make developing fine motor skills difficult, and they crave sensory experiences that help them explore the world around them.

To support their growth, I am seeking funding for a variety of tools and materials that will enhance our classroom's sensory play and fine motor skill development.

Sensory bins filled with materials like rice, beans, and sand for hands-on exploration. Fine motor manipulatives such as building blocks, lacing cards, and threading activities. Art supplies like clay, paint, and textured papers that encourage creative expression and dexterity.

Engaging in sensory play not only helps my students develop their fine motor skills but also supports their cognitive and social-emotional growth. For example, while playing with sensory bins, they practice hand-eye coordination and learn to share and collaborate with their peers.

I truly believe that with your support, we can create a classroom environment where my students can thrive, learn, and grow through the power of play. Thank you for considering this project!
