This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our special education classroom, we strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students with unique learning needs can develop essential life skills. One area where we focus on growth is financial literacy, and we need your help to provide tools that will make this learning both meaningful and fun.
With the funds raised through this project, we will purchase the following items:
Play Registers: These will allow students to practice real-world scenarios, including making purchases, counting change, and managing money. Through interactive role-playing activities, students will build essential financial literacy skills.
Play Money: Realistic play money sets will allow students to engage in hands-on learning. They will practice counting, budgeting, and understanding the value of currency, all while improving their math and life skills.
Fidget Toys: Sensory supports like fidget toys help students remain focused and calm while engaging in financial literacy lessons. These tools are proven to reduce anxiety and enhance concentration, enabling students to be more effective in their learning environment.
Your donation will directly impact our students by providing them with these tools, allowing them to gain confidence in managing money, participating in social activities, and improving their focus and engagement in the classroom.
