My Project
We are building tomorrow's engineers today through STEAM! Our students' understanding of the Engineering Design Process continues to grow through each project they complete. While this knowledge grows, I would like to incorporate basic budgeting into their lessons by requiring them to stay on a budget while "purchasing or renting" materials to complete their challenges.
In doing this, students will gain understanding of real life situations where they are in charge of making sure that their solutions stay within a set spending range. Including this element of math will greatly improve STEAM's cross curricular abilities for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.
