My Project
For this project, I am requesting a set of blocks and accessories to go in the block area for my first grade classroom. They are a beloved learning tool of children. Blocks have been credited as one of the most powerful tools after years of observation and research.
Author Karin Hewitt wrote, "Educators, developmental psychologists, designers, and manufacturers have helped develop and promote the educational value of blocks and open-ended play."
Through the fulfillment of this project, my students will be able to explore and learn across all subject areas through block play and hands-on learning. We currently have a set of blocks that is crumbling and splintering. Please help my wonderful students have the tools they deserve!
