I am blessed to be 20 incredible kiddos' Kindergarten teacher. Of the 20 kindergarten kiddos, eight have special needs and two are English-language learners. The majority of my students come from low-income households. My goal as their teacher is to provide each student with a safe, loving and comfortable environment.
Kindergarten is the foundation of learning.
Without the acquiring the skills in Kindergarten, students are unable to be successful learners. Students learn that they are capable of learning on their own and doing their best work in the classroom. As a teacher, I provide them with the skills to be independent and own their learning.
My Project
Help me provide my students with additional resources for guided reading and independent word work time. My goal is to provide resources for my students to be engaged in their word work and my guided reading lesson.
My students will use these resources to create CVC words and sight words in a small group setting and during independent word work time.
The letter tiles are color coded by blue and red. This helps my students to recognize the vowels and consonants in each word. The pencil pouches will be used to store these word tiles. I also have added a Pocket chart to be used as a model for the students with large word tiles.
The magnetic white board will be used to help me model words to the students at my guided reading lesson. The erasers will be used by students with their own individual white board.
