Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in this project such as board games focused on empathy and cooperation, books featuring diverse voices, SEL materials will help my students grow not only academically but socially and emotionally. These resources provide hands-on, engaging ways to practice empathy, critical thinking, teamwork, and conflict resolution. Through play and discussion, students will be able to better understand each other’s experiences, develop stronger communication skills, and learn how to navigate the world with compassion and confidence.

My goals are to create a learning environment where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered.

I want to provide tools that help students build empathy, celebrate diversity, and work respectfully with others. By integrating these materials into our daily routines, I aim to nurture kind, thoughtful learners who are not only strong academically but also socially conscious and emotionally intelligent.

My students are creative, curious, and full of heart. Many of them come from under-resourced communities, yet they show up every day with a desire to learn, grow, and connect with one another. They bring a rich variety of cultural backgrounds, languages, and life experiences to the classroom. What makes them truly special is their resilience, their willingness to support each other, and their eagerness to make a positive difference in their world.
