Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In an effort to help fourth grade students understand that scientific and mathematical principles exist outside of the classroom, fourth grade classes will be participating in a workshop at the Children's Museum of Manhattan.
In this workshop, children will explore the work of architects and learn how science and math are integral parts of their work. Students will become engineers and architects as they construct a sculpture.
By funding this proposal, you will enable these students to see that science and math have uses outside of the classroom.
