I am blessed to work with second to fifth grade GT students every week! The students are thrilled to have the opportunity to learn new and different topics for each class period. Eighty-two percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of my students need additional opportunities to further advance their knowledge bases. My students need the chance to understand human capital, capital resources, human resources, and natural resources through a building experience.
By providing my students with a wide variety of Lego resources, they will have the opportunity to experience real life problems and solutions.
The diversity in my classroom is represented by ethnic, socioeconomic, and academic differences. By incorporating hands-on resources, my students will be able to make valuable connections between academics and their lives.
My students come from a wide range of experiences. My goal is to constantly try to even the playing field in order for all students to have new opportunities.
My students need the Creative LEGO Brick Building Sets in order to have new ways to find solutions to problems.
The LEGO blocks will provide a plethora of chances for my students to act as entrepreneurs, builders, and architects. The imaginative play that will be possible is unbelievable. I love to watch their minds think through solutions to building better buildings. Through such experiences, my students will be able to conquer many issues in the future that they would not have been prepared for without the LEGO bricks! Thank you for choosing to help make this project a reality.
