Board games promote collaboration, inquiry, and critical thinking, which are all important soft skills that future engineers need to learn. Students have described our school as it can be challenging to build personal connections and friendships with others because our school is so large.
By using board games, my engineering students can be given the opportunity to play, develop socially and emotionally, build connections with others in our class, and build confidence in themselves.
The skills that they will develop through playing games with others will benefit my engineering students beyond high school.
