Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Several times a year, the Work Based Learning program offers valuable job fairs and professional development opportunities, giving students a chance to network with local business leaders and make crucial connections for their future careers.

However, many of our students lack the resources to purchase business casual or professional clothing for upcoming interviews and are hesitant to ask for assistance with their clothing needs.

To address this insecurity, our school is opening the Success Suite, a dedicated space where students can "shop" for business attire. Teachers and staff are generously donating gently worn or new clothing items, ensuring all students feel confident, prepared, and ready to seize their professional opportunities. The items I am requesting, including clothing racks, hangers, and closet dividers, along with a few new neck ties, will go directly to the Success Suite and give it a boutique feel versus a clothes closet.
