My Students

I teach at a small public school full of some amazing kids! My students love to learn and explore. This year I am focusing on bringing new opportunities to discover and explore new forms of technology for my students.

The world we live in is growing more and more in technology, and my goal this year is to embrace the technology and teach my students how to succeed in this technology rich world.

This means setting up new and exciting ways for them to interact with technology on a daily and weekly basis. I am confident that they will embrace all the new challenges this year and succeed far beyond my expectations.

My Project

With the purchase of a Kano computer kit my students will be able to interact with technology in a completely new way! The Kano computer kit will allow them to dive deeper into their understanding of what a computer is and how it works. It will give them the knowledge of how the technology they interact with in their daily lives works! It is not enough for students to just have access to technology, I want to take it a step further and teach kids how it works.

This complete kit will allow students to build a complete computer from the ground up.

Giving them confidence and sparking interest in computer sciences. By building the computer they will gain new insights into how a computer works.

On top of this, once the computer has been built their are hours and hours of coding activities that they can complete using the computer they built! This will revolutionize my teaching of technology and lead to high levels of engagement in computer sciences.
