My Students

My students come from many backgrounds. Many are from other countries, finding their way to assimilate to a new culture and environment. Our class has students who are just learning to read and write, and students who are reading many levels above the norm. We have fun learning in an environment of understanding and discovery, at home or in school.

This project will give us wonderful books to inspire self-confidence and Global Stewardship!

My Project

I want to start this school year off focusing first and foremost on students' social emotional development. We all know our kids have been through a lot the past two years with the pandemic and interrupted learning time. I believe putting their social emotional needs first is so important as we head back to some sort of a normal school year.

This project is full of books that promote social emotional learning and building a strong class community full of diverse learners.

I can't wait to use these books in my daily read aloud and putting them out for my students to read themselves as well.
