Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students work hard each and every day, both academically and socially. They need opportunities to strengthen their skills, work through challenges, and come together as a community of learners. By bringing in something they really enjoy, games, we can serve these needs in a way that is motivating and sparks joy and excitement.

Through games, students can learn to persevere through challenges, build a growth mindset, and build strong connections with other students.

Using a Nintendo Switch with multiple controllers will give my students many opportunities to focus on these important areas of learning. Game time is a highly motivating incentive for positive behaviors and will be used with my class and all of our classes in our building. This will be a time they look forward to and will benefit them as a community.
