Building Community and Learning English Collaboratively

My Project

Our students are incredible people - many are refugees and immigrants who are working very hard to learn and be successful in a new country. Many of them have dreams of attending secondary school or college. The ESL team at JMCBL has a new and larger classroom this year, and we are excited to implement new strategies to best help our students grow! We need help with making sure different centers and activities can be implemented with fidelity so students can close the education gap and excel, as we know they can! We are requesting storage drawers to organize activities, and bean bag chairs and new bookcases for our classroom library space. Also, we are hoping for a horseshoe mobile activity table to lead small group lessons and activities. These kids are the future and deserve a welcoming, organized, and effective environment.
