My Project

Some of my students speak in words, others with devices — but all deserve to be heard. With the right resources, my high school learners with autism can expand their vocabulary, share their ideas, and connect with their community. Your gift can help them find and strengthen their voice.

My Students

I work with amazing high school students diagnosed with autism who are still learning functional skills. My students are caring, curious, and eager to learn, but they need extra support to develop the communication, vocabulary, and social-emotional skills that help them navigate daily life.

My Project

Help me create a hands-on, engaging speech and language learning environment for my students.

Sentence Building Board Game – Makes grammar and sentence structure practice fun, encouraging students to build complete, meaningful sentences without frustration.

Double-Sided Magnetic Dry-Erase Easel – Perfect for small-group lessons, allowing me to model language visually so students can follow along at their own pace.

Magnetic Coins and Bills – Brings real-world money skills to life, helping students learn functional math for everyday independence.

Learning Conversation Cubes – Promotes turn-taking, active listening, and expressive language through fun question prompts.

Mouth Puppet with Tongue and Toothbrush – Engages students in communication practice while also teaching personal care routines for oral hygiene.

Social Skills File Folder Games – Allows students to role-play real-life situations and practice emotional regulation in a safe setting.

Language Flashcards (Feelings, Emotions, Prepositions, Verbs, Categories, Go-Togethers, and Opposites) – Expands vocabulary, teaches concepts, and builds comprehension through clear, visual supports.

300 Noun Vocabulary Builder Cards – Provides real-life photo examples to strengthen word recall, categorization, and conversation skills.

These materials will support my students in building the communication, social, and life skills they need for greater independence.
