This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of my favorite parts of teaching is connecting with my students and building a classroom community. Having a calming and spacious rug for us to have our morning circle each day will allow us to get to know each other better and connect.

My goal is for students to build relationships with one another in a welcoming environment.

Being at a Title 1 school means that most of my students do not have very calming environments at home, and I strive to make sure that they feel comfortable and welcome within my classroom each day.
