it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our school's 5th grade Lego Club, we are embarking on an exciting journey to bring civics to life through hands-on learning. Our project involves creating detailed LEGO models of the Statue of Liberty and the Capitol Building. This initiative is part of our "Civics for All" curriculum, designed to foster a deep understanding of American symbols and government among our students.
The club is led by a highly effective, bilingual teacher with extensive experience in teaching math and all subjects.
The LEGO builds will be directly supervised by Mr. Bluman, who will guide the students through the intricate process of assembling these iconic structures. Mr. Mercaldo will play a crucial role in supporting the club by procuring the necessary materials, sourcing related books, and meticulously documenting the progress of our young builders.
Our goal is to complete these impressive LEGO models in time to display them during Civics Week at our school in March. This display will serve as a visual and engaging way for students, teachers, and the community to appreciate the importance of civic pride and understanding.
By supporting this project, you are helping to enhance our students' learning experience, promote teamwork, and instill a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work. Your contribution will not only provide the materials needed but also inspire a lifelong appreciation for our nation's history and government.
Thank you for considering a donation to our project. Your generosity will make a lasting impact on the education and lives of our students.
