Help me give my students organization bins to develop their organization skills, and an easel and whiteboards will help my student develop communication skills as well as staying on-task and having a voice.
I teach 5-8 year old with a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments in a District 75 school. I work in a self contained classroom with six students. My students are all classified with autism, and have various abilities. My students are fantastic, and with the right tools to fit their needs they will achieve everything possible. I make sure to create a comfortable, happy environment for my students in order for them to succeed. My students are amazing and they make me proud each day and make me happy to do what I do.
My Project
Communication is something my students struggle with. By using these items, specifically the Buzzers, my students will be given the chance to participate in activities. Students will be given different opportunities to learn how to organize their items by using the bins the students will learn that they have a specific place to put their items in and maintain a routine. Students will also use the white boards to be a part of the lesson. Students will use them to interact with peers.
These items will help my students build their character by using different methods to help them interact with peers and during the lesson.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them a voice and give them a chance to interact with peers using different methods. Also using the bins will teach them organization skills that are needed to succeed. Help my students to have a voice and for them to develop skills that are needed to succeed in the school year.
