This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a school social worker, I work with various students ranging from grade pre-k to grade eight. My students are strong, funny, creative, and caring. They are curious and energetic. They are wonderful helpers and many are hands on learners.

My Project

Social emotional curriculum, books, and hands on tools for experiential learning are invaluable in strengthening the character, life skills, coping skills, relationship skills, problem solving abilities, anger management skills, and decision making skills of students, including those with special needs. This has been a trying time for children and families. Additional resources for the social emotional learning of our students are invaluable. Please assist me in supporting them as we continue to navigate and manage stressors in healthy ways. This will assist students in being more available for academic learning!
