This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students that make up the football team are special. They are hard working, dedicated and loyal. All of my students come from a low socioeconomic level, fragmented families, foster care, some even have mental issues but despite all the strikes that they have against them, they never give up. Their hard work and dedication to me, the football program and to themselves and the fact that do not give up despite all the adversity make them handle adverse situations well.

My Project

The mission of West Shores Strength and Conditioning is to provide to every student athlete with the very best evidence based exercise programs. To provide strength and conditioning program that is committed to developing athletes into champions in their respective sports. A program dedicated to improving our athletes’ strength, speed, agility, power, and flexibility. To develop team bonding, leadership, mental toughness, and discipline through rigorous physical and mental tests. Also to properly educate our athletes on the importance of rest, injury prevention, and nutrition. The power rack will be used to increase muscular strength for football. The development of the muscular strength will lead to improvements in flexibility, agility, and speed. Improvement in these areas well lead to the development football player. An improved football player will make us a more competitive program and will help the kids maintain a winning program.
