This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Encouraging a love of reading can be difficult nowadays when students have options for entertainment like TikTok or YouTube. I have completed one year with my 6th grade Advisory and we have read many entertaining books. Now that the majority enjoy reading, we want to keep the ball rolling.

Please help me expand my Advisory library with books students requested for the following school year.

These are books that pique their interest and will allow them to be successful in reaching their reading goals. This group of students will be with me for another two years and will directly benefit from this donation.

The books requested are graphic novels, mystery, and romance. These are the genres my 11-12 year old students are engaging with the most. We appreciate any donations and this will surely make their year a great one!
