My Project

My first grade students are curious, energetic, and full of potential! They thrive when they can use their hands to explore and make sense of new ideas, especially in math. To support their learning, I’m requesting a collection of math manipulatives including wooden abacuses, dice, and engaging math games.

These tools will help bring math to life in our classroom.

An abacus will give students a concrete way to visualize addition and subtraction strategies and will help develop fact fluency and understanding. Dice and math games will turn practice into play, helping students develop number sense, fluency, and confidence in a joyful and engaging way.

Hands-on learning builds deeper understanding and these resources will make a lasting difference for my students. With your support, my first graders will have the tools they need to build strong math foundations while having fun along the way!
