My Project
I teach Kindergarten at an IB school and I just completed my course in Science of Reading. This course allowed me to do a mind shift and think about how to teach the kids with conditions like dyslexia and autism. I learned how these young brains learn to read by mastering the foundational skills such as phonics, decoding and phonemic awareness.
My goal is to make every child feel confident as a reader when they exit my kinder classroom.
I have a diverse group of students including the English Language Learners, kinesthetic and visual learners. By supporting me buying these materials, such as alphabet sounds and blends & digraphs teaching tubs you will be helping my students to use the hands-on learning approach to enhance their phonemic awareness skills. I can use these materials in creating and running literacy stations which will encourage my students to collaborate and share their thinking and learning with each other. This will allow them to agree/disagree respectfully with each other (which is the basic life skill in present day world). Not only this, but it will also make their learning engaging and enjoyable.
