My Project

Elementary school is a crucial stage in a child's development where they can truly blossom into passionate readers. The love for reading cultivated during this time will shape my students' future academic success.

I am dedicated to creating a collection of books filled with exciting stories that will captivate the young minds in my classroom and challenge them.

It is estimated that 61% of low-income households have no books. Only 51% of children ages 6-17 are reading for enjoyment. A study by the National Literacy Trust found that children who read for enjoyment experience more academic success, and have better mental health. Another study published in the journal Brain Connectivity found that reading fiction can increase connectivity in the brain and improve empathy and understanding of others.

Every child deserves the opportunity to explore books that ignite their interests and match their reading abilities. Let's ensure that every student has the chance to embark on a journey through the magical world of literature, setting them on a path towards a lifetime of learning and fulfillment.
