My Students

The students at our elementary school are WONDERFUL! We have around 50 different languages spoken throughout our school. Our school is one of the most diverse schools in all of Chicago. So many different countries are represented in our hallways and students learn so much from each other since they have so many different backgrounds.

Students love to read and learn.

In our school library students do many fun projects that keep their minds stimulated and engaged. Students enjoy coming to the library to pick out books and do projects.

My Project

These legos will make a huge impact on my students learning in the library because students will be able to work together to create scenes. Students ranging from kindergarten all the way up to 8th grade will be able to create scenes using legos. I love to go beyond a worksheet to make student learning hands on.

Students kindergarten to 8th grade visit the library weekly and we do many different projects that include settings of stories and novels.

Having legos in our library will allow students to build out different settings including settings using their own imagination when writing their own stories.

I am looking forward to students writing their own stories and creating their own settings to share with the class. Students get so excited to go beyond the worksheet in our school library.
