Building Blocks and Comprehension!

My students need board games and topple building blocks to review content like vocabulary and comprehension which will enable students to learn, have fun, and work cooperatively.

My Students

In my reading class, I provide daily instruction to over 80 students, who come from various backgrounds. My students are English language learners, participate in special education, and have varying levels of support at home. These students love learning and are hard workers. They strive to achieve their very best each day.

My students are in need of colored topple blocks and interactive board games to extend their learning!

These games will allow students to put their skills to work.

My Project

The interactive board games such as "Wipeout", "Gold Rush", and "Outlast" will be used during center time to engage students on review topics. Students will practice everyday reading skills, like building vocabulary and making inferences, with interesting and colorful games.

The wooden building blocks will make a difference in my students' learning as they will be used in conjunction with comprehension questions.

As students work to remove colored blocks from the tower, they will answer a corresponding question on their paper, while working to keep the tower intact. This is a hands-on approach, tying a fun game to daily skill practice. Students will work cooperatively to build basic skills, while also working together as a team.
