My Students

My students are curious about the world around them! They are four and five years old enrolled in a full day special education preschool program. My preschoolers need opportunities to learn skills in a developmentally appropriate manner. The best way to do that is through play!

It is my mission to provide a classroom full of materials that pique their interests and love of learning.

My students deserve an education that respects their learning styles and I hope to give it to them!

My Project

My classroom is a clean slate. In order to provide them with appropriate materials to pique their interests and learning styles I need to fill the shelves with natural, open-ended toys that promote critical thinking skills. These wooden blocks and ramps are highly engaging!

Wooden blocks and ramps are the perfect toys to fuel their imaginations!

The materials I am requesting will be used to kick-start my block area. Students can use the blocks and ramps to develop math, literacy, and science concepts. Learning through play is an important instructional strategy. My students need materials that develop academic concepts in a play-based manner.
