Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Block building is a daily activity in pre-K. Pre-kindergartners use blocks to create structures relevant to our study topics. Overtime these blocks can get overused and worn or even lost. Currently, we are missing many important shapes like triangles and prisms. We also lack the necessary amount for a class of pre-K students. Without the correct amount and needed shapes our students lack the ability to bring their ideas to life. Also, providing students with other structural materials will encourage them to use their creative building abilities in other areas around our classroom.
Donations to this project will benefit our students inquiry based instruction.
Pre-kindergartners use inquiry based instruction to create hypothesis, discoveries, and make sense of the world around them. Supporting this kind of learning will empower our students to continue this type of exploration outside of the classroom as well!
