My students are a creative group of kids. They love to express their creativity and use their imaginations as they build with Legos and Magna-Tiles.
My students can use legos to show arrays in math and work with the distributive property.
Legos are also a great hands-on tool for our fraction unit. Students can represent a whole with different Lego colors and then write fractions that represent the different colors of Legos in the whole.
Magna-Tiles would allow my students to build structures during our different science units and STEM units. Both Legos and Magna-Tiles engage students in a visual and kinesthetic experience with different areas of the 3rd grade curriculum.
