My students are an enthusiastic and active group of third graders. They are eager learners but benefit from movement opportunities. Offering flexible seating gives students options for movement, comfort, and choice as they find the best way to engage in their daily independent, partner, and group work. Currently my students sit at desks with traditional chairs, tables with stools, use clipboards to sit or lay on the floor, and stand at countertops. I seek to give them more options that allow for greater movement, choice, and flexibility, so they can do their best work in an environment that meets their unique needs.
