My Project

We are Young Kings from Ron Brown College High School, looking to make our space our own! We believe that having a better learning space will help and encourage us to do better while we are in the class. RBHS is one of the only all-black, all-male public schools in the U.S. Our school is unique because we create brotherhoods amongst young black men. In our school community, we want to help each other and try our best to uplift each other. We are young men facing adversity but choose not to be products of our environment. We are changemakers.

These products will significantly alter our learning environment.

They will make our study environment more engaging, motivating us to learn. These items will fuel our desire to study. We want a relaxing place that appeals to the mind, body, and soul. Our main goal for the items is to use them to make students feel comfortable in our learning space. When people feel comfortable, they can generally push through adversity and do it without hesitation or worry. The portraits of these important figures, Dr. King, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, and John Lewis, are signs showing us the paths that have been set before us and clues to how we can apply them to our own lives. The decorations and speakers can help us express our inner selves in a safe environment.
