This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach incredible multilingual learners who bring rich cultural backgrounds and diverse languages into our classroom. As an English Learner Program Teacher, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where students feel valued and empowered to express themselves. Many of my students are navigating a new language and culture, and I want to provide the tools they need to succeed academically and socially.
To foster a positive and inclusive learning space, I am requesting essential materials that will support language development, cultural inclusivity, and social-emotional growth.
These include: Bilingual books, flexible seating/cozy areas, SEL -social emotional learning resources, and hands-on literacy and vocabulary-building materials.
Language learning can feel overwhelming, but, with the right support, students can grow confident in their voices. By funding this project, you are helping create a space where every child, no matter their background, can thrive. Your generosity will provide students with the resources they need to feel safe, supported, and celebrated as they embark on their language-learning journey.
