My Project
I work in a self-contained CDC classroom, grades 6-8. The materials we ask for will make our learning environment calming and welcoming, making students feel comfortable daily. They will be more open to learning if they feel safe and welcome. We are also asking for materials like a binding machine so we can make materials to foster growth for each student.
My goal is for our students to have a safe and welcoming environment when they enter our classroom.
Being a self-contained classroom means our students spend most of their day in one classroom, except for related arts and lunch. We want décor and supplies to make our classroom as welcoming as possible so our students want to be here and not tire of the same scenery all day.
