it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a Horizon ASD class made up of seven incredible first graders with autism. Each child brings unique strengths, personalities, and so much joy to our classroom. As a first-year teacher, I am excited and inspired to start building a welcoming, supportive environment where my students can grow and succeed. In our self-contained special education class, we focus on academic growth, communication, and social-emotional development. A large classroom rug will create a comfortable, structured space for morning meetings, read-alouds, and group activities. This cozy area will help my students feel safe, focused, and connected. Your support will provide them with a calming, consistent environment where they can learn and thrive together. I look forward to watching each student grow and reach their full potential in a space that nurtures their learning and confidence.
