it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello, amazing friends and supporters! While I’ve gathered some materials from my first year, I’m still in need of essential classroom tools and supplies that will take our learning to the next level.
Many of my students come to school hungry or without access to fresh, healthy snacks.
When basic needs like hunger are unmet, it’s difficult for children to concentrate and engage in reading activities. This small refrigerator will help meet basic needs, support equity in the classroom, and ensure no child has to learn on an empty stomach.
To keep our space organized and efficient, I’m requesting a rolling utility cart that allows me to easily transport supplies and materials across the room during centers or small group instruction. I'm also requesting folders in various colors, which will be used for organizing student work.
To keep our pencils ready and the classroom running smoothly, I’ve selected a fully automatic electric pencil sharpener as well as a bulk pencil dispenser. This simple system will prevent interruptions.
Our class thrives on movement and active engagement. That’s why I’m requesting a sit-and-twist cushion for students who need extra sensory input to focus as well as a megaphone and cowbells to celebrate student successes and manage outdoor activities with enthusiasm.
To support daily classroom routines and behavior management, I’ve also included a student behavior clip chart and class jobs pocket chart which will help build a positive, structured environment where everyone has a role and feels valued.
Every item in this project is chosen with intention to create a classroom that is organized, inclusive, and full of joy. Your support will not only help me build a more sustainable, resource-rich classroom but will also ensure that every child, regardless of background, has what they need to thrive.
