Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Language Arts students are in need of a quality easel to display our class-made anchor charts and for use in word work activities. Right now, we use a small clothing rack that does not support much weight and falls apart at least once a day.
My classroom is a mixture of exceptional learners, English language learners and high poverty students who are hungry to become strong readers.
We have created a wonderful literacy environment where students are excited to read and learn new vocabulary.
My Project
An easel is a resource that would be used every single day in our classroom! It is a tool that can be used during all aspects of the literacy block (read and writing). We can create and display quality anchor charts as a class, create word work activities with the magnetic side and use it to create writing pieces as a class.
Right now, we use a small clothing rack and the students will be absolutely thrilled to not have to worry about it falling apart and helping to put it back together!
:) Having this wonderful new resource in the classroom will help strengthen the student's excitement for learning to even higher levels!
