Building a Strong Community of Learners

Help me give my students headphones for their digital learning and math manipulatives for math exploration.

My Students

We have great student need after a pandemic year of learning. Students need extra support both academically and emotionally! Headphones would benefit our many English Language Learners with our online program. Math manipulatives are essential to help our students who have missed out on an entire year of hands-on math. This project would support fifty-eight 4th-grade students in Las Vegas.

My Project

The use of headphones is something we use daily. With middle school right around the corner, students are completing more and more work online to prepare them for the future. We also have many English Language Learners who utilize a program to help build their English language skills. Students need headphones with a microphone to successfully use the program. The use of math manipulatives and visuals is essential for a child learning math. Last year, students were not able to work with hands-on materials when school was online so we need to reintroduce using manipulatives to help gain an understanding of difficult math standards such as 4.NF.A.1 and 4.NF.A.2.
