This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a comprehensive learning community dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. All students will receive an education that places a premium on relationships, engagement with the wider community, and scholarship.

I have the honor of being able to teach almost the whole student body.

I will mainly be teaching Pre-K through 4th grade, consisting of about 500 students. Most of our students live in the neighborhood. Our students are active and excited to come to P.E.!

My Project

I am requesting seven Amazon Fire 8 tablets to help students work independently on physical skills and activities.

The tablets we hope to receive will allow students to learn in a safe and socially distanced manner.

Students will be given different skills, circuits, or activities to follow at each station which will be reinforced by visual cues on tablets.

Setting up Physical Education in stations, whenever possible, will allow all students to stay safe while still getting in the appropriate amount of movement they need each day. Tablets will be spread out the appropriate amount to ensure all students can continue to stay safe while attending Physical Education.
