This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a 2nd grade teacher at a title 1 school in Sun Valley, Nevada and I absolutely love having the pleasure of teaching these young and capable minds. The items that I am requesting would make a positive impact on all my students regardless of ability level. The books at varying levels and on various topics would allow students to extend their understanding of the world. The quality of materials that I am requesting would allow the students the opportunity to take pride in their work as they demonstrate and share their learning and understanding of the concepts we are learning in the classroom. Having an organized classroom also allows students to see what it looks like to be a successful and organized individual with strong work ethic which is a skill I hope to instill in all my learners.
