My students need method books to learn their band instruments. They have a hard time afford clothing and food, let alone school supplies. These method books will help greatly!
I teach at a school in North Carolina where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. They are provided with a snack fridge in the hallways that they can select from during class change times. My students come from various backgrounds and have suffered many hardships in their short lives. They struggle with learning right from wrong and how to properly show support to one another. With so many challenges they still come to class eager to learn.
My Project
Your generous donation to our project will help many underprivileged students learn a band instrument. My students each need a method book that teaches them to play their instrument. They need to be able to take the book home to practice their instrument. This year we have been struggling with learning because we do not have enough method books for each student to have their own, they must share and learning is very slow right now. Students are not able to practice at home and this is slowing our progress. I want to boost morale and show the students we care!
